Has anyone had any bad experiences with these? I am reading reviews and some people have said their phone still got damaged with this case on. I normally don't like otterboxes but these don't make your phone look too bulky and want to get a good durable case for my phone. Thanks.

It's seemed to protect my phone alright... But I find it to be pretty bulky.

I like mine. Certain it's saved me a few times and in my view is a good balance between protection, weight, and bulk. To me it's slim and fits the phone well.

Luckily, since the phone is really thin, the commuter case is not too bulky. The only peeve I have is how hard you have to pressed for the power and volume buttons to register.
other than that, you would have to be really negligent to damage the phone while its in this case.

No, mine is not to bulky at all. I'm quite clumsy and I drop it quite often. It's a great case.

It isn't a bulky as the defender series I have both I like the commuter series better just wish I could clip it to my hip.

A big plus on the Commuter case. I have the Incipio DualPro as well. The Incipio is slightly thinner, but the Communter feels much more solid. The white on the Incipio also turned brown and gross pretty quick. No problems with the Commuter.

The Commuter case strikes the perfect balance between good protection and being to bulky IMHO....

Is there a way to make the sides of the Commuter a little more grippy? They are very slippery!

Another + for a case that hits the market between bulky and good protection. I have more peace of mind with it on. You just have to settle for a little more difficulty pressing some of the buttons. Small price to pay for the peace of mind.

I had to cut the power button a bit so that i could actually push it. the volume buttons weren't so bad but the power i had to push hard. After cutting a bit of it no complaints and ive dropped it plenty of times without any problems.

Got my S3 today ;) got me a spigen case and ordered my otterbox commuter case too :p defender is too bulky for my liking! Thx for all the inputs ppl.

The only problem my gf had with hers is that the power button was constantly held down. We just sent it back and she got a tpu case.
