I'm considering getting a wireless charger for my S5. I know it adds bulk and increases the thickness. I currently use an Otterbox Defender case and wouldn't consider getting rid of it for any reason, even if it means I can't change my S5 to wireless charging.

Has anyone ever added the OEM Samsung wireless charger to their S5 and gotten the Otterbox Defender back onto the phone?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have the charging back on 2 SG5's and could not get the defender or commuter to fit, not enough give for them to work, it was not a pretty sight

Did you keep the wireless charger? If so, what protective case did you go with?

Diztronic makes a case that fits. .fairly nice case. .not a defender case though

I got my defender to fit with the charging back on my S5. The front clear face will not "click" into the back piece but you can hold them together and then allow the rubber back piece to hold the whole thing together. Maybe sacrifice a bit of protection but I don't think anything apprecaible. In any case it's worth trade off.. It seems really sturdy and still fits in the holster.

Forgot to say I removed the inside liner on the inside of the back part of the case.

This is a great idea! I have been trying to find out if Otter Box makes a modified back plate to fit the wireless charging back but I just tried this and it works great! I thought that I would have to remove the case to charge, but it goes right through, so this is the perfect solution :D

BTW...I did not remove the inside liner and it still fits.
