Has anyone found this case anywhere? I saw a camouflage one but not the classic black.

I was able to order and do an in-store pickup at Best Buy. Hopefully, once my platinum gold AT&T GS7 arrives, I will be able to upload a review on my YouTube channel, TheJCP006.

Verizon had the classic black, 49.99. I bought one in store on s7 release day.

The website shows a lime green and blue mix also.

Sent with my white Note5 with nonremovable back and no SDcard!

Got my 200GB microsd and Defender. FedEx says tomorrow for my GS7.

Tmobile store had Defenders yesterday when I bought my S7. best buy also has a bunch of them in different colors when I was there. I will say I'm shocked the S7 edge in the stores already has a number of cases including Otterbox. Was not the case last year. I'm interested in the Poetic Revolution case. I had one for my Note5 and loved it except didn't work with wireless charging due to the kickstand. The s7 one wont have a built in kickstand Poetic told me. It's better quality than otterbox at least the one for my Note 5. Their built in screen protecter very snug and like using tempered glass.

Silicone outer layer is a bit more rigid than last year. Like the textured grip surfaces of the edge and back of the case. Inner polycarbonate shell is easy to assemble. Screen protector, while there are no noticeable gaps with the GS7 display, seems a little different but tactile response is still quite good. Works on Samsung OEM wireless charger.

These are my initial impressions as I have only had my GS7 activated for 19 hours.

I noticed that too. It's better than the Note 5 Otterbox I had. Do you like the S7 better than the Note 5?

Always been a Galaxy S owner but have been tempted to look at the Note. After using a Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet, I rarely used the stylus. The Note phone series is a bit more real estate at present but I like the GS7E if only the price were better.

I wish my note5 defender felt more like the s7, its definitely an improvement.

It sure is. What do you think of the Supcases/unicorn beetle? Do you think it offers as good of protection as the Defender?

To be honest i dont know anything about them.

Ive used few different kinds of cases. Otterbox has always been my go ultimate protection.

I do like tech 21 and the speck candyshell grip cases. Good cases but w the new glass backs on samsungs i feel more comfortable w an otterbox.

I had a UAG for my turbo2 and really liked it as well.

Strangely i like a case that makes the buttons a little harder to press, so they dont activate in my pocket.

I like the Defender S7 a lot. Better screen protector and materials. I might switch to the Poetic Revolution when it comes out next month. Right now Otterbox Defender really the only thick drop protection case out there right now. Should be more choices on amazon over the next few months as more come out.

First time owner of Otterbox Defender for my new GS7. Used Ballistic brand for GS5. Never a problem with Ballistic but Defender is obviously better protection. While the Ballistic was easy to remove and swap batteries, even in the dark, I find the Defender much more difficult and time consuming to remove/replace. Which is a good thing! Won't pop apart as I've seen some cases do and, with GS7, I will no longer need to swap batteries since I purchased an external battery backup. But, I have yet to receive my Gear VR and I will be constantly removing the case for that.
The only potential drawbacks I forsee is how long the flaps over the charger and earphone ports will last. It is difficult to bend back the flaps in order to securely insert the plugs. Both the flaps and the plugs are strained in the process. Just like the charging port cover on the GS5, I believe these will fail over time. At least the GS7 will maintain the water resistance if the flaps become detached and they will keep out dust and pocket lint in the meantime.
I purchased my Defender directly from Otterbox phone customer service after having a difficult time getting order to accept on their website. The kid at customer service was sub-par (misspelled my name even after I spelled it twice, letter by letter) but I did receive the product I wanted within two days.
If it does become a problem with constantly removing/installing the defender or if the flaps break, I will look for a better alternative as more products are released.

P.S. Buying direct from Otterbox offered many color combos with inner and outer shells, including black/black for $49.99.

Probably would been easier just to buy it in the stores since all the cell shops and Best Buy carry Defenders now. It's 45 bucks on Amazon. Just print off the listing and take it to best buy and they price match it.

With the outer silicone layer being more rigid, it will be interesting to see how it affects durability. I have never had an issue with the port covers in any Defender case that I have owned. Admittedly, I only remove it to clean up.

Wally world has the plain black Defender for 39 dollars. I couldn't pass it up. The materials feel like they are higher quality from past Defender cases I have owned.

The silicone outer layer near the USB and headphone jack are loosening up a bit. However, this may be a function of removing the case. Removing the case for cleaning seems easier than past iterations of the Defender.

Mine still gets dirty under the screen even though the screen protector is tighter. The supcase and Poetic revolution never have their problem and their built in protectors are like using tempered glass it's that good and tight and never gets dirty. I think it's the way the Defender is designed with the two peices that snap together seem to flex a bit along with the soft outershell causes the screen protector not to sit flush because the supcase for example is hard material that doesn't expend. But the downside to supcase is that it doesn't absorb shock as well which is why I don't use it anymore. I bought it but it seemed too thin. I'm waiting for the revolution to come out. It's just as good as a defender.
