Ouch!

Nexus 4 is 4.7" screen. With the on-screen buttons and notification bar, you get about 4.5" of usable screen.

Though, when playing a game or watching a movie or something, the on-screen buttons disappear, so you get the full 4.7".

Exactly. Although there are custom ROMs (like ParanoidAndroid) that allow you to hide the keys at all time and allow them to be revealed by swiping from a side, allowing for full screen usage.

Have to agree with him about the black bar on the bottom of the screen, it's in most of my apps as well and makes the screen feel tiny :( .. I'm staring at the god awful thing right now whilst using Tapatalk.

I really want to like this phone and have 3 more days to keep it or send it back, I'm kinda 50/50 at the mo, the camera being the other main issue I have.

Dont worry about the camera.. go to anandtech, they have the most comprehensive review on every aspect of the phone and called the camera the best out there.. Even though not every reviewer agrees with that, majority of the major sites agree it's the best low light camera and average regular camera.. Average being iphone 5, and S3 status.

I think if you are going to read reviews at least read credible reviewers, i dont understand why madlaw1071 would find one of least credible reviewers and post something. Honestly you cant blame ppl for questioning his motives..

If you are going to say something, make sure you have stuff to back it up. Obviously madlaw1071 scraps around and tries to find things to complain about. Him using such a weak review shows how hard it was to find a "bad" review on the One.

Im not saying the phone is perfect because it isnt, but it's One of the top at this point depending who you ask. Every adopters will always find problems with first batch production units, that's not usually.

You can also vist GDGT, you will see how many reviewers gave the phone a 9/10 rating..

also im using a S2 at this moment... if madlaw1071 is interested in knowing.. ;)

I currently own and use the One as my daily driver. See my initial impressions where I heap profuse praise and well-deserved criticism on the device.
