Out of Internal Memory due to "Other"?

I try to move everything I can to my sd card as well as not have too many huge apps installed. I actually don't have many apps installed at all maybe a handful. But I am getting a warning that I am out of space. When I go to "My Files" app and look how its broken down, it shows "Other" as the main culprit. Is there anything I can do to clean this up and free up some space?! Besides Rooting!

First thing I would do is try clearing the cache. In SETTINGS, go to STORAGE and tap on CACHE. This will clear the app cache (settings won't be affected) and might reclaim some of that space.

I don't know how others feel about the app, but avast mobile has a "cleanup" app that can find and dump clutter on your phone. Anybody else had good or bad experiences with "cleanup?"
