using exchange activesync and unlike my bb I dont see anywhere that I can setup/turn on/off my out of office notification from my EVO. Am I blind?

Assuming you're using HTC mail app: Open your mail. Press Menu. Press More. Press Out of the Office.

Not an option.

yahtzee is correct. Out of Office is not an option in the stock email app.

The available options are:
  • Move to
  • New meeting invitation
  • Accounts list
  • New account
  • Settings

Also not under Account settings, General settings, Send & Receive, or Notification settings.

Nope, sorry. That choice is not available. Followed the directions to the letter. Out of Office is just not an option. This is using the stock HTC mail app on a Sprint EVO 4G. The only options available are the ones I listed earlier.

And my company is using Exchange 2007, just an FYI.

Alright, my server address for my exchange account was configured as owa.companynamehere.com. I started having some connection issues and decided to try webmail.companynamehere.com as the server address. Amazingly enough, I now have the Out of Office option.

that didnt work for me....I also dont see a way to attach a contact to an email.....ugh.

It's there on mine. I've got:

Move to
New meeting invitation
Accounts List
New Account
Out of Office
Settings.

Are you sure you're using the htc email app? Under Home / Settings / Accounts & Sync, is Auto Sync checked?

Under EAS on that screen, is Calendar checked? Is schedule set to As items arrive?

Those are my settings. If any of yours are different, you might try changing them and see what happens.
