In some states there is no tax so you can save some money there. You will not get the $50 google play credit if you order direct from Hauwei. I am not sure what differences there are in the warranties. I think there are several threads on this that might have more info as well.

I don't understand why they do it this way. Why not just let you place the order, then notify you when it's back in Stock, like Amazon does.
Or does this mean there won't be any more made. Don't understand ☺

Yes, it will be the sales tax rate of your state. Some states are almost (or actually) 10%.

State of CT is 6.35%, on a 500.00 purchase thats 32.00.

Take that 32.00 and add only another 18 and you can buy the 64GB model from Huewai (when its in stock) instead of the 32GB model from Google Store.

Is this your first Nexus? It is for me, but I still know a little about the issues they have had in the past with the Nexus before they ship... they had server issues, and most were really like to get in on any of the preorders. This time things were solid, no server issues... they sold a lot for a few days... and still no issues. If people wanted them they were available for a few days after the official announcement.

And if you really want one you can go to Huawei and order one: Nexus 6P - Huawei Official Store

This isn't lol, I've been using the nexus 5 since it came out, and the reason I want another nexus is because my nexus 5 still runs beautifully even after all this time, unlike other phones that slow down after a while

The US Google Store has 32gb Aluminum and Graphite ones. Which is to say you can order them; who knows when they'll show up.

When I select one of the configurations that is unavailable, the "Add To Cart" option changes to "Join Waitlist." Is that not what you're referring to? Google opens device sales before the formal "release" date, allowing orders to be placed up until they meet their expected launch-date (ship-date) inventory for each configuration. At that point, your purchase is essentially backordered until they've shipped the initial pre-orders (launch inventory), at which point they fulfill the waitlist, in order, as fast as they can produce them.
