outgoing emails queued

Okay, I've sent myself 4 different emails with pictures attached. They all went through. So I've written down all the steps to correct this problem if it happens in the future. Thanks for helping me through this.

Great , if you did my last step its most likely the update had a issue so next update should fix but for time being don't allow it to update through play store until a newer version out .

No, I didn't do the update. As I said, I cleared the data and cache and then force-stopped G-mail. (that last step was what I hadn't done before) Then restarted G-mail and tried to send the same email. It went right through.

Well, I, for one, appreciate you both. As you can tell, I'm a total tech illiterate and this stuff just boggles my mind. When I run into problems with it, I have to run to someone and ask for help. Good to know you two are willing.............and able!
