Outlook App

Is anyone else having trouble with the Outlook app? Both my S8+ and Note 8 flagged it as a battery hog.

Not having that problem. I think the Outlook app has usability/UI issues but I'm not having any power warnings.

The Device Maintenance app may be a little hypersensitive.

I've used it for years and never had an issue until about 3 weeks ago. The device maintenance on my S8+ claimed it was using too much battery. I bought a Note 8 2 weeks ago and it did the same thing.

Well it does run continuously in the background. Just set is an unmonitored so you don't get the notification.

What if it's actually draining a lot of battery.was any recent update done to the app

I took it off the always asleep list late yesterday and it seemed to do OK overnight.

It went back up to .12 so I put it to sleep. The email I receive on that account isn't critical so I check it when I think about it.

I know MS just did a fairly big update to Office on the desktop. Maybe they also did one to the app? Personally I use Nine Folders. Have done so for a long time. Every now and then I try Outlook, and then switch back to Nine, because it's already paid for, and Outlook still hasn't caught up completely. Still, Outlook is a close 2nd for me with the added bonus of it being free.
