I am trying to find an app that will sync my Outlook calendar on my desktop to my phone. I do not care about the email, I just want the calendar. I also want it to sync without having to connect the phone to the computer and I would like it to sync both ways...computer to phone and phone to computer. And, if possible, I do not want to have to pay for the app, but if that is the only way I will, I just would rather not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Me too! I tried to download a fix last year, but it didn't fully take. Even when I used the USB style link, the program double loaded events to my droid phone. Is there a TRUE fix out there???

I also looking for the APP to sync my laptop calender of Microsoft Outlook with My Android ASUS Fonepad

I have used MyPhoneExplorer and it seems to work. Be aware that the Outlook Contacts when sync'ed to People seems to have a maximum no of characters per entry - some of mine were truncated.

Found this on Google Forum and downloaded the link, and now my Google Calendar sync has been restored between my desktop outlook and my android phone! I have been without my outlook calendar link on my Android phone since I had it fixed, therefore lost all compatibility after Google stopped supporting it. This link miraculously is still valid and worked to sync the calendars. As an aside I tried to use msoffice to do the same thing, but this app sucks!

I found a solution that is working for me.

Download GoogleCalendarSync_Installer from http://files.racs.com.au/CustUpdates/GoogleCalendarSync_Installer.exe
It is 1138kb and dated 8 Apr 2011. Version 0.9.4.1

I discovered that sometimes an appointment made on my Android tablet will sync to Google Calendar but will not sync to Outlook. A fix for this is to make sure that I remove myself as a guest in the appointment. It also helps to install the Google calendar app for the Android instead of using the calendar that comes with the Android. The calendar that comes with the Android automatically makes me a guest when I create an appointment. The Google calendar app doesn't seem to do that.

So, now I have a 2-way sync set up:
Microsoft Outlook 2010 <-> Google Calendar <-> Android Google Calendar

I've been working at this for 6 hours per day for the past week, and I'm very happy to have it working!
Thanks to @Rob NH for his help on another thread.

I still don't understand why Google decided to discontinue GoogleCalendarSync. They really could have been more polite about it and made it more easily available

Thanks for posting this link fir calendar sync. I can get back to normal operations now :-)
Lost without it - flaming Google pull tlohe plug in things much too quickly fir my liking.

You could try any third-party tool. I personally use Sync2 to sync my Outlook calendar and contacts between work desktop and my laptop. Sync Outlook and Google Calendar and Contacts. Sync2 - Synchronize Microsoft Outlook on multiple PCs without a server.

Sync2 has a lot of functionalities and is way too expensive for just syncing calendar. I found a more economical solution, called Outlook Calendar Transfer Sync. I switch my computer locale between English and French. This app is the only one I know that works in both locales. They even have a free trial version.

I will be looking at a cloud sync option when I get my new phone, but for now THANK YOU for posting this link!

Before we would use Google Calendar Sync but that service has since been suspended.
So now we are seeking alternatives and one way that I found that works well and is reliable is an Outlook add-in called EVO Collaborator for Outlook.
After adding this to Outlook you can sync with Gmail in a 2way sync. (also with other services such as iCloud,Yahoo!,BB and many more)
