So after a year of waiting (or so), we have two kernels enabling overclocking to 946.808mhz on the Optimus Q and Optimus Slider. A little insight into our processor: our processor comes off the factory line @ 600mhz. It's then overclocked to 800mhz for our devices. Previous attempts at overclocking have run into many stability issues @ anything greater than 850mhz. Thanks to the work of Kato, RHG, DrewWalton and DroidHost we're now running both phones in beta @946.808mhz. This is a 346.808mhz jump from what these processors were originally designed to run at! In beta testing we've seen very little issues and are seeing antutu benchmarks holding in the 1900+ range (some as high as ~2000). This is a marked improvement. We're also seeing an increase in fps both in 2d and 3d. If all continues to go well you can look forward to an overclocked kernel in future releases of AreaRom for both the Q and Slider. Stay tuned!
