Has anyone attempted this? Will you need a custom kernel to achieve this? I wonder how they will compare to the Optimus V?
Yeah LG isn't giving any publicity to this phone at all, though I got the Straight Talk version.
The optimus slider chip is 800 MHz Qualcomm MSM7627T
The original Optimus S/V/C/T 600 MHz Qualcomm S1 MSM7627
I'm sure a kernel is a project Team Hydro will pick up.

Or virgin needs to send us a bunch of dev devices lmao
Hopefully there will be a way to overclock this phone further than 800 MHz
Oh there IS a way, but LG's kernel source for this phone is a bit....well...crippled. I managed to build the stock kernel once but subsequent builds fail for some unknown reason.
The problem better be with your setup because when YOU can't compile a kernel .... we have an issue lmfao.
It could be GCC 4.6 causing problems. I had to hack the LS670 source just to get the wifi module to compile, whereas 4.5 compiled it with zero issues.
Time to put my ProLiant dual Xeon server to good use and install an older LTS version of Ubuntu.
Not to revive a nearly month-old thread, but... Is there any hope of overclocking this phone being achieved? This is my first android phone, so I really don't understand most of these terms you guys are talking about.. lol
