I am wondering if I have overlooked where the update has been fixed and released again. I have searched the forum to be sure but I am still wondering.

Also, is there a real need to upgrade or an urgency for this upgrade?

Thanks a bunch!

Could you clarify what carrier and what update you're talking about?

My apologies 4.4.3 on AT&T
I'm waiting on that also. Don't think its out yet. And the change log seemed to be pretty dense, I don't remember what exactly, but I would update. And I've seen many people say improved performance and battery after the crappy stuff settled down.

It has been out for some time on AT&T. Please check for it in settings>about>software update

Yes but the update has been pulled like a day after it was pushed out. And I don't think it has been pushed out since.

And this is precisely why I have not done the Verizon update. I don't want the issues that plagued the AT&T update. Massive battery drain scares me.

They said they have determined the cause of the issues and to look for a re-release soon!

This is why Verizon probably tests their release a little bit too long before releasing their patches.... even though even they (Verizon) can make mistakes like they have in the past, and this includes EVERY other carrier that is out there!!! I downloaded Verizon's update yesterday and have had absolutely NO issues... but if it scares you that much, by all means do not download it and continue on your marry way.

Back the OP's original question... you should always stay current with any patches, or software updates on your device. If you don't, you are out of support and they can just say that any issues you have with your device is because you did not get the latest release and are not running on their approved version of the operating system (ROM version) for that device.

Thanks for the replies. I always update but it seem like there were a lot of issues this time around. I need to find the change log to see what is being added/updated.
