I haven't seen any showing, but I only found the setting to turn it on a few hours ago.

They don't show unfortunately.
Just the Huawei apps - phone calls etc.

Pretty rubbish really. Seems odd that they don't give you the choice, at the least.

I'm still hoping they add 3rd party app support with an update. Samsung did the same when they only had stock app support for Always On Display with the S7 to begin with.
Saying that, Huawei have being using their Always On Display this way since the Mate 9 Pro and don't seem in a rush to change it anytime soon.

Weirdly Google Play Music is a 3rd party app that I've noticed also shows 'Now Playing' information on the Always On Display and not just with the Huawei Music App.

It does (on the M10 pro) make the AOD pretty pointless IMO. I am only getting sms and phone calls, the stock email app does not even work.

Is worrying that they do not seem in a rush to fix and maybe it is buried in the settings and hard to find for a reason.

I heard the AOD won't burn in as it moves up & down the screen to avoid burn in.
