Howdy folks.

Just came from a nexus 6. I use a folder and put speed dials into it for the techs I call frequently.

When I make the speed dials with the phones built in contacts or with Google contacts. Upon a reboot the names disappear. See pics.

I've factory reset the phone and it still does it.

All the contacts are imported from Gmail. No idea why two work fine. Rest don't. Any help appreciated.

Just wiped the phone again and created the widgets after the phone booted and logged into my gmail account. Same problem.

Welcome to Android Central! I prefer using the Direct Dial widget, since that's a one-touch call. Does your phone have that widget? If so, does that still lose the name label?

Finally got this figured out.... When i create the first widget i drop it on the home screen. The 2nd widget gets dropped ontop of the 1st to create the folder. Those 2 always work. The rest are created and dropped directly into the folder and that was the problem. If i create each widget and drop it onto the home screen and then move it into the folder it works fine. Hate not having stock android.

It's a launcher issue. I use a different launcher that creates speed dialing differently and no problems. Which launcher are you using?
