Paint on home button is peeling. Anyone else have this issue?

Samsung S7 Silver.
It happened while I was checking if it has some plastic layer to peel off the button (like other samsung phones).

Now I wonder: am I covered by warranty?
The answer is No if you consider that I did that with my own super nails. Yes, if that paint is crap...
I hate this.

Good news, they repaired it under warranty and got a new screen with the looks of it as there were some small blemishes on the glass that are now not there.

The only thing left is the back. Maybe they gave you a new phone?

serial number and IMEI are the same as before (unless they can change this?)

Same here...after a week I noticed some discolouration on the button. Clearly now..the paint is slow going away.

Disappointing giving the fact that I have paid the full 850 bucks for an unlocked device, and that I barely use it.
Not happy.

Almost every review I see for the gold or silver s7 I see some discoloration of the button in the middle.

You're finger print sensor won't work with this piece of plastic. I've tried this.

I have a S7 and a S7e. Had them both for over a month and the home buttons are absolutely fine. And I know that I have notoriously greasy hands and fingers. So it's not across the board.

I'm gonna have to stop visiting this thread, every time I do I start examining my phone with a magnifying glass. So far no damage.

The white version isn't available anywhere lol so I think that's the reason why we're not seeing it.

Had mine repaired under warranty at the Samsung shop in Houston. Display, home button, scanner, charge port, and some other little bits are all one big piece. So you did get an entire new front

Got our phones 7 days ago and today my wife tells me her home button is peeling. It is the silver titanium version.

Anyone else having this issue?

I have the same issue on s7 edge platinum gold
