Hi Everyone, long time reader first time poster :P

ok moving on... I saw the new black/white Evo and then I noticed on the black one it is black/gray so I decided to paint my Evo. I've gone through a couple colors (blue, dark blue, red) but I finally decided on white. 6 coats of white 1 wet sand and 2 coats of clear later I have a really awesome looking Evo. I originally painted the buttons with white but decided to go back and remove the paint and put them back to black, which looks much better. I also drew myself a sketch on the inside of the battery cover to give it that personal touch.

Here is the link to my flicker account if you wanted to take a closer look: Flickr: Missiondarkfox's Photostream

Gonna try to upload photos here as well but since it's my first time posting don't lynch me if they don't show up correctly :P

Oh and I also uploaded a pic of my battery life which lasts between a day and a half to 2 days during average use (I don't know why everyone is complaining about the crappy battery life when it rocks so much). Ok that is enough spam for this post, follow the link for more pics.

Looks like you have a little orange peel...

Your Nuts for even Trying this...

Decent Job

Yeah, looks good except for the HTC logo. Maybe just paint that white too?

Yo,

Great work! I appreciate how you went out of your way to do this. Most of us here would not attempt painting our phones. Good Job!

It looked good from far away, but then i zoomed in on the pics. No offense, but very bad decision IMO. Kind of looks like an EVO in a cast or plaster.

I'm no pro painter, just wanted something different. I originally took the phone apart, but I discovered that the front plastic/glass/whatever was glued to the front bezel and that the material was already painted black so I would of had to paint the top of the screen... that was a no go. So while I had everything apart I tried some paint and airbrush tips, but they weren't turning out the way I wanted I should upload those fail pics lol. But after using the back of the pre for a test subject I found the paint style I wanted using foam brushes. I did most of the work when the phone was put together and masked the front screen camera and HTC logo on the back. Speaking of which when I did the mask around the logo there is a black outline just barely there. The pic doesn't do a good job but in real life it stands out pretty well.

Oh btw, I read somewhere that colorware is going to start painting the Evo in a couple months... so those of you with money could take that route.
