Panda says screen and battery suck?

How can anyone think anything other than he's joking. Jeez... this is just silly.

I would say he's joking.

I've been running an SGSII Epic 4G Touch since launch, the battery life on this thing has been simply incredible. Despite the Nexus Prime's slightly increased specs, it's also rumored to have a larger battery as well. Plus, Samsung phones are known to have the best battery life among Android phones.

Can't wait to get more info on this device.

It was obviously meant to be a joke. If the "doesn't print money" line doesn't give it away...well then, I just don't know what to say.

Also his latest tweet...

@black_man_x The Panda King
Sorry that Android people can't take a joke... Seems that my nexus joke is affecting people.. Relax. It does print money...

Laaaame, I was looking forward to the new version of MoniesPrintr. ICS was supposed to make it faster and greener.

@black_man_x: Wasnt really joking about the battery... Just being honest with that amount of power you ain't getting bb all day batt life.. #truth

Well I guess there's that.

I just hope it's as "good" as the Bionic when using LTE, which in my experience has been the best battery on a LTE phone so far. And that isn't really saying much.

Panda should know better than to joke with such emotionally charged, desperate techies!!!!!! i know he visits here from time to time, he knows how desperate we are for accurate info. hes just having fun......... at our expense:)

Don't know if you guys saw this. Commenting on the Nexus Prime:

"black_man_x
@alexdobie it's worse. With my S on att I get ten hours. This.. Tops 6 hours.. Its too thin"

Bummer. This could be a huge letdown for the device.

His latest tweet says 6 hours battery life. That's what I get on my thunderbolt.
Sadly I might have to pass on this if true. I charged my thunderbolt twice a day and it still dies during many crucial times. I cant be worrying about battery life every day.

6 hours is a non starter. I don't care if it makes me breakfast in the morning, I cannot have a phone with that kind of battery life.

Funny, I get 12 hours off my tbolt. Its all a matter of how you use it and your setup. I run cm7 1.4ghz ondemand governor and I always have juice.

I hope this isn't the case. I don't know if I can handle 6 hrs of battery life, especially since I move around alot for work throughout the day and can't charge my phone. If this really is the battery life I may have to look at the Vigor.

6 hours is pretty bad, I can at least get 10 hours on my Bionic (with stock battery and 4G on all the time).

But I suppose it depends on personal use. I wouldn't call 6 hours definitive till the phone is in more peoples hands as there will always be variances when accounting for battery life. However, it surely is disappointing.

This is the type of optimization that I was hoping ICS had already started and others could add to.

OK you have talked me away from the ledge, but I still may jump if its 6 hours unless you turn off LTE, email, sync, run juice devender, lower screen to 1% brightness and keep it in airplane mode.

Remember too that HTC phones are notoriously poor with regards to battery life. Not to close the door on the Vigor, but I'm not really expecting much better on the Vigor. I will just have to see how things work out for my personal use case.

Oh man, this news is bad. I've been holding out for a replacement to my iPhone and the perfect phone to switch to Android. If it truly is 5-6 hours, it would be a deal breaker.

This is the one aspect of Android phones that lags behind Apple IMO. It's a little embarrassing when I have to carry a charger with me and plug my Droid in at a friends house amongst my friends who are almost entirely iPhone users.

I was hoping ICS would bring an improvement on battery life. Not giving up hopes yet, though.
