Panda says to wait?

Yes, they can't change your contract on you. Now once the contract ends, the next contract can change, but as long as there is a contract in place, the conditions cannot change.

Verizon: modifying any part of user agreement will cut you off unlimited data | TechKnow Bytes — The Denver Post

From the article...

Verizon spokesman Bob Kelley said in an email today:

The data plan is a component add-on to the overall agreement. Once an agreement is set, it?s set. That said, customers can make changes at any time as their needs change but it requires a new agreement effective on the change date with the plans and options available at the time.

Or like terminating the hotspot after May 15th. It's probably written like the freecreditreport.com crap. Free for 30 days then automatically renews unless you expressly cancel it. Cancel it, and you modify your usage.

So does that mean that if you want to cancel your hotspot feature once it's no longer free you would likely no longer have the unlimited 4G for 29.99?

Wow.... that would be sneaky. They would get killed for that one - and probably sued by a few state AG's. Not saying it wouldn't be legal, but as a certain fruit company found out... better to suck it up and offer a free bumper than to keep arguing about the antennae.

ugh, they cant take away your package because u turn off a feature....thats like changing your mins then they force you to change data package...not gonna happen, chill out. im not worried cause im just turning that feature down anyways. i dont need it

No, not at all. That is simply a trial that Verizon is giving out. As long as you have the unlimited data plan you'll keep it forever as long as you don't change your contract. I left that out in my post because I thought that was inferred. The user can make any changes to the contract they want within certain boundaries (going to a higher plan, dropping to a lower plan), however if there are any changes that Verizon made to their conditions prior to that, you can still change your contract, but you have to agree to the new conditions.

For example, say you are on a $39.99 single plan with $29.99 unlimited data and later you want to go to a family share plan to add another line and they get rid of unlimited data, you are able to go to a family share plan, but if you do this you won't be able to keep your unlimited data.

Sorry I was out shopping and just could not pass up taking this photo. LOL LOL

Any chance he is talking about the Nexus? The stock android reference makes sense that it could be a possibility. Also, since it isn't really a new phone, but rather just switching an existing phone to Verizon it may only take three weeks. Then three weeks later (6 from now), the Bionic will come out. Nothing but thinking out loud here.

I think unless he mistakenly thinks "nexus" is a synonym of "peak" and unless the rumors of a 4G Nexus going to Sprint are wrong, it's not the Nexus.

I am listening to the Panda and am going to really try and wait a few more weeks to see what might be coming. The biggest reason is because I really want something smaller. And I don't have 4G LTE in my area yet, so it makes no difference to me right now whether it is 3G or 4G as long as it does what I want it to do and looks the way I want it to look. :)

Yep, I'm waiting too. Maybe the Inc. 2 will drop in a few weeks too (although I really have nothing to base this on, although it seems to be pretty close). It has basically the same hardware as the TBolt, but with a 4-in screen and no 4G/LTE.

For those that say there's always something around the corner and if you keep waiting, you'll be waiting forever ... I generally agree with this and I think it definitely makes sense particularly when you don't know what's around the corner. This issue here is that we do know what's around the corner. And it's really not that long to wait (and it's a set time to wait). The way I see it is that I'm gonna wait 'til the end of April, about 6-weeks. If the Bionic drops, then I'll compare it and the Thunderbolt myself, firsthand. If it doesn't drop, then I'll get the Thunderbolt. I'm not gonna wait forever for something I don't know about, but I will wait a set time for something I do know about (and want to see).
