Part identify on LG G5

[Android Central Question]

What is the name and function of the brass coloured ball shaped spring contact on the backside of the battery module? It has bent inwards and no longer makes a good connection with the case so the phone displays the "use proper module" error.

I never noticed that part, and no longer have a G5. but I'm guessing it's a "module is in place" switch, so very gently bend it outward until it just makes contact with the case when you slide the battery in.
