Passkey Confusion

I'm trying to use a passkey instead of needing to be around my tablet or backup Wi-Fi phone. But, it's not going well.

When I tried it, it said no passkey set up yet. When I go into that account's security settings and passkey... It says I have several, but haven't used them.

I can't see them. And, I can't setup a new one or delete the ones it states I already have, but have not used. ????

I don't know what to do next.
Any advice or suggestions are GREATLY appreciated

I found out I can't use DuckDuck Go browser to make a passkey and when I go into the account to make a new passkey and click on make a passkey, I get the error message attached.

When passkeys are created using one browser, are those compatible when using a different browser?

I went to Firefox and it let me setup a new passcode... My fingerprint.

As the post above me asked, will it only work with Firefox?

When I tried to drop l setup one on DuckdDuckGo, ..
When I tapped on set up passcode, nothing happened.

Should I have ONLY the fingerprint for a passcode or do you recommend adding an additional one? If so, what and why, so I understand more.

You cannot create a Google account passkey using the DuckDuckGo browser because the browser's underlying technology and privacy focus currently offer limited or incomplete support for the passkey creation interface and related functionality. DuckDuckGo developers have stated they haven't built out full support for the feature, and its privacy protections may actively block Google's sign-in prompts.
