So i was checking out the Sprint GSII today in the sprint store and it had a screen lock password on it so i figured some punk put a password on there. I proceeded to go into the stock recovery to do a data wipe to get rid of the screen lock to check out the phone. I navigated too the wipe function, confirmed it then... IT ASKED ME TO ENTER IN THE PASSWORD WHILE IN RECOVERY! Like a keyboard came up and everything IN RECOVERY o_O

If youre familiar with rooting and such, this is very strange. It must mean you can run .apks while in recovery

The sprint guy actually knew the password, but he thought i broke the phone :p

Anyways, just to confirm it wasnt only on the floor model, can someone put on a screen lock password and try to wipe via recovery?

Lol its weird talking to you through a forum, but anyways i think they were just being creative with the stock recovery. not a bad thing. i would love a more visual recovery.

I can care less about any of that, as nice as it is haha. if this means what i think it does, whole apk GUI's can be made on top of recoveries if we find out how sammy is running the keyboard apk while in recovery.

In other words nice, fancy, touch enabled recoveries. No more volume button abuse :D :D :D
