Password lock for notification center

I hand over my phone to a lot of friends and colleagues and I don't want them to see all the messages and other notifications that I am receiving. I don't mind them browsing through my phone just don't want them to get notified while they are browsing and if there is a notification they should enter a password or pin to pull down the notification center. Is there any way we can do that ? Sorry If I missed older threads.
