password to back up on SDcard??

i had the LG Optimus S for a fw weeks and before my 30 days was up i decided to get the EVO shift (and i love it) however i had a bunch of notes on an app called color note so i used the laptop and switched them from the SD card that was in the optimus to the one in the Evo Shift. that being said i went in the color note app to retreive the backup and it asked for a new password so put one in and conifirmed the word then went to open it and it will not let me open it.....frustrating. so i went into settings and changed the password there, still didnt work so i un-checked the one that says to use passwords for the storage and that didnt work i then uninstalled the app and reinstalled it still no luck.. can someone please help me here? is there a way to get rid of the passwords or wipe them without doing a hard reset?? :-\
