Look, I know the Droid X2 just recieved its Gingerbread update and its been out about close to three months less than the Thunderbolt and the Incredible 2 gots GB about two weeks ago too. Let's all just stay calm and not panic. Take a deep breath and count to ten....

Ah forget it! Who feels left out and who says screw it and root already? Who doesn't care for gingerbread (I know, that's blasphemy)?

I'm not too bummed but I was hoping we get it before those two phones. The delay better be for a good reason.

There is a good reason - 4g radio. Those other 2 phones do not have 4g, so it was much easier to port Gingerbread to them. It will take a little longer, but it will be worth it!

Good point, I didn't think about that being the case... I'm rooted and GB Sense 3.0 up already so it doesn't bother me anyway..

If rooted can get GB, then why can't stock? I'm middle-of-the-road techie, but I don't understand this.

Gingerbread turned the first droid x into a rebooting disaster..I'm happy with my perfectly functional 4g monster...

I totally get this. I hope the 4G isn't really that much of a hold up. I hope also that a reason might be trying to get a bit of sense 3.0 on the thing.

If you look at the front page of AC, it would appear that every Android phone except the TB now has Gingerbread...lol! Not really a big deal to me, just noting. :)

The Droid X2 had Gingerbread at launch... The Droid X just got the Gingerbread update, and it was buggy. I would rather wait and have it done right without need for patches shortly after because of severe bugs... If HTC is capable of that.

[EDIT] I was incorrect is saying the X2 had Gingerbread at launch. Sorry for the inaccurate statement.

No, the Droid X2 didn't have Gingerbread at launch, just got it today.

The X2 didn't have GB at launch... nor did any of us receive it yet as far as I know.

I withdraw my statement. For some reason I had this dumb thought that the new UI was Gingerbread on both, which the X2 was launched with and the X received with the Gingerbread update.

Might I add... We had a GB leak MONTHS ago and that is the base of all the GB Roms available. Works good enough for me. I feel bad for all those waiting for an official release (and believe me, it would be nice for all of us to have), but since I re-purchased the TBolt early this month after loathing around an iPhone for 3 weeks, I haven't run Froyo on it since the trip from the store to my house (i didn't even wait for the phone to activate).
