Paying out end of lease?

Has anyone paid out the rest of their lease? I've always been a android user up until a year ago when I got an iPhone and now I am just so bored with it. I want to get the S7E but the only thing stopping me is the lease fee.

Has anyone else paid theirs off to get a new phone? Do I have to wait in between times of closing the lease and getting the phone?
