PC wireless disconnects

Here a link to a good one. There are many others.

Amazon.com: Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 4-Port Hub F5U234v1: Electronics

Basically it's an extension of USB ports, but it has its own power supply to provide power over the USB devices attached to it. If your internal USB hub is under powered, and many unfortunately are, then plugging in the phone is likely sapping the power from the wireless and "turning it off."

The computer should not be recognizing the phone as a network device because there are no default drivers that would do that for the phone. (That’s why I was asking about Easy Tether, and again sorry for the confusion) And, since it does not happen on the laptop and it does happen in the PC, power is the likely cause.

Hope this helps.

should I remove the tehter software from my phone and from my PC? how else would it be useful? I have a belkin but I think it is a 2.0. I have 4 usb ports in the back on my computer and they all are full. I have two in the front and I use those for my phone sync and jump drives. whre do I put the 4 port? if I put in in one of the ports in the back it will be in the way of the other ports.

Yes, remove the tether software from you phone and computer, unless you might want to use the phone as a modem for your laptop while traveling, but you can always re-download from the marketplace when that happens.

There is a cable that connects the Hub to your computer so it does not take up any additional space. Plug the cable into the front of the computer, plug the other end into the hub, connect the power adaptor to the hub, place hub on the top, or next to your computer.

Connect the phone to the Hub, select Charge or Hard Drive on the phone when prompted and you should be good to go.

And now you have 4 extra ports for jump drives, ect.
