I'm not for sure, but I don't think that the 5C is being made anymore. But still, the 5C is not in the low-end market. The carriers run all phones free at some point, so does that make them low-end?

It's an example of an iPhone you can get cheap. It has the exact same OS as the other iPhones.

The iPhone is a status symbol, the 5c www announced along side the 5s, everyone knew it was the cheap one, and it came in fruity plastic colors instead of aluminum and launched for $100 less and it didn't come with any "big" feature like the finger print scanner.

I'm not quite sure what you were expecting to happen with that.

The analogy is not really accurate anyway since most Android phones in the US are the same price as iPhones...sometimes even more.

I tend to believe that it is because of price. IF iPhone is outselling the combined sales of high-end Androids, then it would come down to cheap prices on the low-end Androids. A large portion of the world market just can't afford an iPhone as it is, and Apple is not going to enter the low-end market.

You get excited because android devices sell more than apple devices, yet ignore that android has more models.

Lamborghini has less models than TOYOTA, TOYOTA sells more cars.

Lamborghini has less models but is more expensive.
