People cannot hear me clearly when I use the mic on my S8 earbuds.

There is poor reception for the person I am speaking with. It breaksup and drops out but only when I am using the earbuds.

Have you tried a different set? What about your headset with another phone? Make sure that when using the headset the plug is completely seated into the port. If you try recording a voice note with the headset connected, do you get bad audio as well?
