How's everyone's performance on 2.2. I ran linpack and I'm averaging 13.5 - 14 and My quadrant benchmark is 1386

Back in the day when I had a nexus with froyo, my linpack benchmark was in the 30s-40s and while the linpack score has improved on my DX from 2.1 to 2.2. It doesn't seem like the earth shattering increase that I experienced with the Nexus.

Perhaps updates to linpack adjusted its scale because of the introduction of JIT in 2.2?

Pre Froyo Quadrant in the 1250-1280 range.

Post Froyo consistently 1440-1480

Really sorry others are having issues, but I'm loving this update...

Haven't run any benchmarks, but my phone is noticeably snappier. The App drawer and scrolling through contacts no longer lags at all.

Quadrant seems about right and so does your linpack score. The big difference your seeing in linpack is due to the cpu core in the snapdragon being superior to the 3630 it really has that much more processing power when coupled with jit

Yeah this is why. The Snapdragons synergize with JIT significantly better than the TI OMAPs, however, here's the key thing you have to look at in this puzzle: does your phone feel fast? Because a random useless meaningless number spewed out by an app can SAY its faster, but does it feel faster? And to me, my Droid X on 2.1 felt lightspeed faster than an EVO or Incredible on 2.2 ;)

Here's what I found here at android central - yes I do search ;)

One pretty major caveat, however, is that the Linpack test doesn't appear to be working properly with the Droid and Droid 2, both of which use TI OMAP processors. The Nexus One and Evo 4G are scored just fine. You'll see what we mean, and if someone wants to explain things to us, we'll be at the bar. Video after the break.

So while the review/benchmarks provided by android central are for the droid2 its applicable to the DX.

I'll not get too worked up at this point

Here's the link to what I quoted http://www.androidcentral.com/droid-2-benchmark-tests

Trust me it works properly the numbers mean nothing out simply shows what your phone Is capable of. But the fastest phone can feel slow due to poor programing. The real world fealing is all that matters

my co worker task killed all his apps and ran the benchmark. i loled he got 1140-

Power down, reboot and dont use ATK-

Keep in mind that the benchmarks will vary so much from phone to phone due to processor types that it is kind of useless as an actual benchmark.

For example, my friend gets 30+ linpak scores but his quadrant scores are in the 800 range on his evo 4g. whereas my X will get 1500+ quadrant and linpak of like 14. It has something to do with the way snapdragon vs omap processors work, I don't know the details.
