Persistent direction notification tabs

I keep getting direction tabs trying to showing me public transportation routs to a place I went long before I bought my watch. It pops up several times a day and comes up two tabs at a time that I have to close. I tried blocking google maps and looking though all the settings. On most tabs there is a way to swipe left and get an option to block the app. This app has no option to block it, or to delete the destination. No matter what I do the notifications keep coming up.

Any idea what could be causing this? It's really driving me crazy.

It is probably a Google now card. Go into the settings for that and turn off notifications for transit. That might fix it. I don't think it's coming from Google maps.

Thanks for responding.
I found the settings for google now finally, but no option for public transit. Maybe I have to wait for the tab to pop back up?

I have no idea why google keeps showing me public transport stuff. I don't even use google maps since I live in Korea, and the Korean search engines have much better public transport features.

Open the Google now menu(hamburger icon) . Then click on customize. Then click on "everything else". I have an option in there that says "continue to get nearby public transit spots?" maybe that is doing it??? Your best bet might be to wait for the card to appear on your watch and then open Google now on your phone and try and then it off.

I waited for the tab to pop up again and I was able to shut it off.
However I ended up returning the watch. I found android wear interface to be terrible, and my unit had malfunctioning bluetooth. Not to mention google now's confusing, pointless and annoying features... I am using my gear fit again and will think of upgrading when some watches that perform a lot better than the current generation comes out. (fingers crossed for the Gear S2)
