Anybody else have this problem? A few times a day, my phone dings like I have a new email (edit: HTC Mail app, using Exchange mail), and when I check it, there is the "email" icon in the notification bar. But when I go to the app, no new email is present.
This usually happens when I'm at my desk anyway, and I can confirm that nothing was received on the desktop. And there is never anything in the Outlook Junk folder that corresponds with the time the notification went off (thinking perhaps the phone is pinging on a spam message that Outlook then shuttled to the Junk folder).
It does seem to happen when I have left an unread message in my inbox. It's almost like the phone keeps forgetting that message was there and continually thinks its new. Goldfish memory problem?
Any insights?
EDIT: ironically, within minutes of posting this, I received an email on my desktop. I am now going on five minutes and my phone still has not received the new message. So it notifies me of emails that aren't there, and fails to notify of emails that are. WTF?
