Phantom ringing on boot up. Is my phone possessed.

This morning I turned on my phone and as it booted up I heard a faint ringing. I thought it was coming from the T.V but then I picked up my phone and that's where the ringing was coming from. I thought maybe I had a phone call but the problem was nobody was calling me. So I thought maybe it was an alarm I might have set but no alarm was set. I tried to increase and decrease the volume but it remained steady. After I rebooted my phone the phantom ringing stopped. Has anyone else had this phantom ringing or is my phone going crazy on me?

How long did it last? When the phone reboots, or you mount/unmounts the phone on a computer, it'll mount the SD card to the device. When this happens, it'll make an annoying ringing sound.

In Settings - Sounds look for "SD Card Notifications" and uncheck it.

It didn't stop until i rebooted the phone.

Mine too. Verizon. probably 30% of all reboots. Rooted phone. Just started a few weeks ago. Would be curious to compare installed applications and software versions.

Think this answers the question: SD Card doesn't get recognized early enough in the boot process when you have a notification on queue.
