Phantom voicemail?

So I deleted a voicemail the other day but my notification menu apparently doesn't agree. Whenever I reboot my phone it displays "new voicemail (1)" in the notification bar...but when I tap it and put my password in to check my voicemail..."no messages". wtfffff I can't get rid of it, I mean I can clear it and it goes away but it comes back everytime I reboot my phone...anyone else ever encounter this?

Sometimes a battery pull fixes it.
Sometimes you have to do a full wipe.
Sometimes you can leave a fresh voicemail and eliminate it.

It's a VM issue really, it just happens. I have yet to see a definitive way to remove them.

it did that to me once i called VM (wile on IHO) and said there was a voicemail notification that wouldnt go away they reset my voicemail bam it was gone
