Phone app questions

I have one problem. The default number I set for some of my contacts keeps resetting. The check that shows which number is default disappears after awhile. I've mistakenly called the wrong number (ie someone's home instead of mobile number) a few times now. Anyone else experiencing this or knows what's causing it?

And when I launch the phone app, I'd like it to go to my favorites first instead of the keypad. 95% of my phone calls are to someone in my favorites list so it's annoying to constantly change to the favorites list every time I make a call.

think theres a widget for favourite contacts. and id just sepaarate your contacts so theres a contact for "john home" and "john mobile"

....ps, i dont know about stock dialer app but on Go Contacts, you can set what tab it defaults to (i choose dialer) it takes a few T9 taps to frnd the right contact

Yea i find that a bit strange aswell. Id like to see the call logs only rather than every little message,email blah blah. Take ages to find the correct contact.
Again,as i keep mentioning,s3 isnt like any other normal phone when i comes down to basic things and you have to have a 3rd party app to make it do what it should already do. Though i am coming from a Blackberry phone.Maybe there are some guides out there that can help with these things. Oh and how crap is it that the s3 doesnt have a standard ring ring tone. lol

deano mate. android can use any mp3 as a ringtone and if u want a simple ring, download Zedge app. theres 1000s of ring and alert tones on there and the app even applies it for you. i GUARANTEE youll find a classic ring ring on there mate
