One day i noticed that i had "Spotify Lite" on my phone (i googled and found out it is a lightweight version of Spotify), but i never installed it, and didn't want it too, so i uninstalled it.

And what happened? Next day it was there, again. So once again, i deleted it, multiple times, and it keeps coming back.

I use the "normal" Spotify. Every time i uninstall "Spotify Lite" my phone installs it again.

Update (Additional details):

The thing that bothers me is not that the app is installed, the actual problem is that "Spotify Lite" literally opens up by itself, and then i will check the time on my phone for example, and there is Spotify Lite, opened, on the login screen. If i close it, force stop it, whatever, it opens up again later. It literally pops up in full screen and stays there until i switch to another task.

Which phone? Some phones come with apps that automatically install other apps.

Are there any other apps that auto-install?

Positivo Twist S520.

I have this phone for about 2 years. It didn't came with either Spotify or Spotify Lite installed, the problem started about 2 weeks ago.

I don't have any other apps doing the same thing and never had this problem before as well.

Which carrier and mobile plan are you using? Brazil? Do you have a mobile data plan that includes free Spotify streaming? Maybe your carrier is installing the app in the background?

Make sure your not looking at you libraries on play store , and it's accutaly on the phone ?
Libraries on play store show apps previous on the phone .

I don't use any data plan. I just buy R$ 15,00 of credits every month for emergencies but it's not like an actual plan.

I downloaded the .apk and installed. But it's been like 6 months since that. The thing with "Spotify Lite" began 2 weeks ago.
That's probably the reason, the own APK is downloading the lite version. I'd recommend you to install the official app from the Play Store to avoid that problem or even worse issues.

I'm no expert in android apps but i'm not sure that's the problem because it wouldn't make much sense. Let me explain:

The .apk is actually a pirated version of Spotify that doesn't play ads. I downloaded it like 6 months ago and then i had to set it to be manually updated, because once the app is updated, it actually updates to the actual non-pirated version, and that's why i never updated the app in 6 months, that way i can keep the app pirated as it is.

So, it doesn't make sense to me. If this thing with Spotify Lite was a feature since the beginning, why i never had this problem before? And if this is a newer thing that started with a more recent version of Spotify, then how the h*ck did the feature got included in my pirated app's source code that is set to be manually updated and is still working as if it was pirated?

Anyway, since, of all the possibilites i can think about, this one seems to be the most probable, i will uninstall my pirated Spotify (and Spotify Lite) and wait until next Monday to see if Spotify Lite gets auto-installed again.

I'll come back next week and update this post whatever the result.

Thanks!

Well, I still think the problem comes from the APK. Anyway, we can't help you with modded apks used to get paid services for free. Sorry, thread closed.
