Phone automatically deleting images

If you have any "phone cleaner" apps (or if the system settings have some kind of phone cleaner option) check its settings to see if it's automatically deleting files in the Download folder after a certain number of days. Also look in the settings of your file manager apps for this as well.

I have no phone cleaner apps installed and the built in storage manager is off and my file manager is x-plore would it have a phone cleaner option and if so where would it be?

Some antivirus have app cleaners be aware of that if u use them

Yes the only antivirus app I have is Malwarebytes

I don't think X-plore has that as a feature.

Try wiping the cache partition: https://www.hardreset.info/devices/alcatel/alcatel-onyx/wipe-cache/. This won't affect any personal data.

I'm not sure how to test if it's Malwarebytes as the images deleting is a gradual process

Uninstall that app and give some time see what happens
