Phone call trouble

Sometimes I'll try making a phone call and on the dialer it will say "DIALING" for like 60 seconds. I'll eventually hit the hangup button and "HANGING UP... " is displayed for several minutes, not allowing me to redial or dial anyone else. This has happened a few times lately. Anyone else experience this? The last time this happened, I rebooted my phone to make a call, and we all know how long THAT takes.

I have had this issue with mine as well. I have had it happen in the past with my Turbo I think it was as well. I didn't have to reboot the phone I just tried it again and it worked. I want to say it has happened on my iPhone 6+ also. I have always thought it was a Verizon network issue. Over the last 6 months to a year I have also gotten the message all circuits are busy please try your call later a few times.

I've gotten that msg about all circuits busy one, but what I'm experiencing is unique. I cannot recall to have ever had this happen before the 5.1 update. Its like my phone gets stuck on the hanging up portion of the call and is unable to finish hanging up. I work in law enforcement and need this damn thing to be able to make a call to my dispatch if my radio goes down. Having this problem, at the wrong time, could be a serious issue.

So it happened again. I unlocked my N6 and it had the upper half of the phone turn red and the Hanging up was displayed. I didn't even initiate a phone call. I think it was stuck on that screen since last night. I don't know what's going on with it. I had to reboot it, again.

I use my Nexus 6 in two countries, switching SIMs whenever I travel back and forth. I have the exact problem the OP describes in one country all the time, But it never happens in the other country with a different provider.
Conclusion: It's the provider that's at fault, not the phone.

Experienced the same problem on my Verizon Nexus 6 yesterday. Pretty much exactly as the OP described. Never had this happen on my Galaxy S5. So, I have a hard time believing it's Verizon. I'm wondering if it's a Lolipop bug?

I had this happen a couple of times, too. I just reboot it and call it a day. It sucks, but it is what it is.

I haven't had this problem since. But I know the issue will probably creep back up.
