phone calls on rogers

On my rogers galaxy tab I have a sim card and a large data plan. If I follow all the instructions to load the russian files and the bell modem, I am supposed to be able to make phone calls. my question is, don't I need a phone number assigned to the sim card? Or can I make out going calls without a number.

i believe you will need a Number. I've swapped my phone's MTS sim into it and it works fine.
