Phone causing computer to crash

I have been able to connect my Fascinate to my desktop via mass storage mode in the past. Today, I tried to connect my Fascinate and I get a blue screen of death and have to reboot my computer. It causes my computer to crash every time i plug it into my usb port. Anyone know what may be causing this? I am running Windows XP.

figured it out

Able to connect to computer now (see it on device manager) but cannot see the sd memory card or any data on it.

I had the same problem with a blackberry. You have to install the drivers for the phone. For some reason they were deleted from my PC. Once I installed them, all was well.

Where can i find the correct drivers? i can't seem to find them anywhere online...

I would uninstall any Samsung drivers you have on your machine now, reboot, then install one of these drivers-

Likely you're running a 32-bit OS in XP
