When I dial my partner, the screen goes blank and refuses to come back on.
I have to hold the power button down until the phone restarts.
Anyone else have this problem?

Edit: screen goes blank but the call goes through ok. If I get answerphone then I can't end call. If answered and ended the other end my phone is ok.

Do you have a screen protector, or anything else that may be covering the proximity sensor? It's located just below the right hand side of the ear piece (two little circles you can see in just the right light behind the glass). Even if it's clear, it will block the proximity sensor and the phone will think it's held to your face the whole time.

Yes, it was that. Good call and thanks very much.
That was a waste of money 😬

No worries, glad it was a simple fix. A lot of screen protector companies jumped the gun and didn't know about the proximity sensor location before production. Contact the company, and they most likely have a revised version to send you for free. Same thing with cases - there are some cases out there from major brands that cover up the laser autofocus sensors to the right of the rear camera, and also with a hole not large enough to fit the charging cable in the USB C port. Most are offering revised versions already.
