phone deactivated after flash! please help

i activated my phone yesterday and then flashed cm7 iho on to it. it took me a while to get it to flash and when it finally did the first thing that came up was the activation screen. i skipped past because i had already done the activation before but once i go to trying to use it i saw it was deactivated, tried to do it online but it gave me an error and when i hit the icon the line kept saying sprint instead of virgin mobile even though the phone shows virgin mobile shows a virgin prl etc. i dont know what to do

Make sure the IHO rom is for the V and not the S. Also, you cannot activate on IHO roms, or any gingerbread ROM for that matter. ... so you basically ruined your phone! throw it away!!! LOL jk.. just flash one of the many froyo roms here and hit the activate button again and follow the procedure.


EDIT: i just noticed that you said the IHO rom greeted you with an activation screen. Activation for virgin mobile service will never happen on IHO ROMS... unless its the other greeting screen that pops up after rebooting when done flashing the IHO ROM & Gapps ... but this is for your google account. its tied in with your phone. if its this screen then you dont have to re sign up but you might want to sign in again..just log in and all your contacts will sync on to your contact lists. ..

You do need a google account to view the market, and other small things.

On my V the market says Sprint, but i dont really care lol its just a app section thats all.. I think lol

i activated it on the stock rom, then flashed with iho and thats where it said i had to activate my phone and i cant do anything.. so if i go back to stock and activate, when i re flash the iho am i gonna have the same problem

That's troublesome. Make sure you mobile data under About Phone, Status, says connected on a froyo rom(While wifi is off). If not use the Activate app on Froyo rom, then wipe and try IHO once more.

I would make a backup in recovery of a froyo rom, just in case you ever have this problem again. Then if it does popup, quick fix. Just have a backup of a froyo rom and your current rom handy.

just to make sure you're not confusing the google sign in with the VM activation, is the screen showing a green android and a finger touching it? if that's what you're referring to, that's a google sign. i'm just confused because i have NEVER heard of this issue.
