Android Central Question

Kinda defeats the purpose of having a phone if it doesnt ring when someone calls. It just vibrates once and gives a missed call notification. The person on the other end gets a busy tone.

Why does this happen, it is very annoying? I went through all of the phone app options, connectivity options and sound options and everything looks fine to me. It's Android 8.1.

Yes it worked before. Its a new phone, everything was fine for about a week. Calls come through when I'm using the phone, they are only rejected when phone screen is locked, so I dont think its a carrier issue.

I cant get to safe mode. It shows safe mode in the lower left corner, but goes into recovery instead.

It is Y7, not Y7 Plus

There is something wrong, it seems to me. It may be worth considering a Factory Reset. Otherwise, perhaps return it, before which you would have to Factory Reset it anyway.

It shouldn't matter that you have the Y7, not the Y7 Plus -- the steps should still be the same. What do you mean that it shows Safe Mode in the lower left corner, but goes into recovery instead? Do you mean that it first boots into Safe Mode, and then reboots into the Recovery Menu on its own?

Yes I did, just now. It looks like it's fixed, but maybe its just a fluke. I will update tomorrow.
I still dont know why this happened so theres no guarantee it wont happen again. I cant keep resetting the phone very week...

Let's see what happens, I agree should have to keep resetting but we see how it goes.

Spoke too soon. Doesn't work again. I havent changed any options or installed new apps.
Really, it's my fault for being poor and only able to afford literally unusable products.

Its a new card, I had to get a new nanoSIM for this phone. I talked to the carrier before, and they say they see no forwarding active, no bans, no network issues, nothing that would affect calls. Everything looks OK on their end. I tried the SIM in my old phone and it works fine.

Then something up with the phone , APN looks fine ?
