Phone Earpiece speaker

It only happens when I talk to my one buddy but my phone speaker earpiece speaker sounds distorted I have to turn the volume almost all the way down where everybody else I keep it mid-volume have you guys had any problems with this?

Does that one person usually use a Bluetooth headset? Ask him if other people think he sounds distorted as well--if so, then it's a problem with his phone's mic, not your phone.
