Phone files not accessible through PC?

Ok, so I'm trying to back up my media files on my computer from my phone, and my phone drive isn't accessible when plugged in through USB?

The phone charges, but it doesn't give me any way to view folders or files at all...my old S2 I was able to plug it in, find the media folder, open the images and drag and drop them to my computer, no big deal.

Any help?

Have you updated drivers on your PC for Samsung Devices?

I haven't acctually, I'm on an older Mac laptop, how would I go about doing that?

On a Mac, I don't know for sure. For a Windows, I would say search for them and install. I would guess the same on a Mac.
