Phone got wet, now power button doesn't work. How do I shut the device down without the power button?

Phone got wet, now power button doesn't work

Everything I've found says to shut of power and remove sim card when drying. However, the power button doesn't work now. How do I shut the device down without the power button?

Also how do we power it on when is dry?

If the power button doesn't work, you could probably get it to power on (if the phone still works) by charging with a Qi wireless charger - but, honestly, I'd say it's time for a new phone.

Since you can't turn it off . Put it in a bag of rice still powered on for a while then pull it out and plug the phone back into the charger and then put it back in the bag of rice and leave it .
