I'm noticing some heavy usage with these two. I dont ever remember my other phones having such an issue. When my battery is near 20% both account for 18-20% of my battery drain.

Unlocked version on Verizon.

Those 2 will be high on battery stats , are you having any issues with battery life?

Welcome to Android Central! Battery use from those processes can be due to poor cell signal. How has yours been?

It's been about on-par with my s8+. I do feel like sometimes it jumps down quickly but all-in-all, it's been good.

I'm at about 100 dbm in my house where as my s8 was much lower. That could be one reason. But, im generally on wifi.

Aside from that, its still been really quick. I did lose gps in an area where i never lose it while on the charge where i started noticing high usage of idle/cell standby.

I'm starting to think recent update may be giving battery issue , from what I'm gathering in the forums

Even if you're on wi-fi with wi-fi calling, poor signal can still increase battery drain since the cell radio is still trying to maintain the signal. You could try turning on Airplane Mode, then turning wi-fi back on, and see if Phone Idle/Cell Standby remain that high.

I switched the carrier mode from Global to LTE. Rebooted and saw more bars but that went back down to the 2 i currently have (-107dbm). :(

Who's your carrier? If your signal is poor at home and your carrier offers a signal booster, that might help.
