Phone inexplicably shuts down - ?

I've had an issue with my S4 lately where it inexplicably shuts down as if the battery ran out. When it does this, it's low but not anywhere out of juice. I've seen it at 15%, 20% - even 28% battery left and it shut down. I don't think I was doing anything in particular when it happened all those times. Has anyone else ever experiences this? Is it a defect?

What do your battery stats show? Batteries do fail over time. How old is the battery? Does it take longer to charge Lately?

I had this issue for a while, would also reboot on it's own at times. I replaced the battery (genuine) and everything was fine and still is 1 year later.
