ok so here's a good one.

my N5 battery was at about 30%. I put it on a charger and walked away. Half an hour later I come back to it and notice it in a loop. One I haven't been able to get it out of.

when it is sitting on the charger, it'll show the charging indicator for 3 seconds or so, then go to black, then it comes back. Not in the normal way that animation should work. If I try to turn the device on, it goes to the google logo for a second or two, then shuts off and goes back to the charging icon loop. When it isn't plugged in I can't get it to do anything.

Here's where it gets a little weird. I can get it to boot into the bootloader and stay there. as soon as I try to do anything from there though, it shuts down and goes back to the charging icon loop. I have stock ROM and recovery, and a locked bootloader, so it's nothing weird there. On my computer I can see it in the device manager in the Android Bootloader Interface, but it doesn't show up in ADB. It does show up when I run fastboot

I tried taking the back off and disconnecting the battery from the phone and reconnecting, to see if fully removing power from it would get it out of the loop. It did not.

Any ideas? I have a nexus 6P on the way but my ETA is sometime Nov 3-10. I think my old Nexus 4 is in a drawer somwhere, so I may have to fire that up for a couple weeks, and there's no data on my N5 that is critical (photo autobackup ftw). But if I can get it ressurrected so I can use it until the 6P comes, that'd be nice.

hi!
same here, i replaced my battery for a "new" one from ebay, and it wont turn on, the battery icon is on a loop when plugged in to the charger, and when i disconnect it from the charger won't do nothing.
i can get to bootloader but nowhere to go from there
you got a solution? anyone?
thanks
