This has always happened and why?? Also tonight I noticed that I could not receive pictures via text in Go Sms but could in handcent sms... Anybody know why that is??? Strange.. But this phone is just too hot for my liking anymore. Ummm I'm not liking these "quirks" and hate to go back to an iPhone but I need a phone that responds 100 percent of the time... Correctly... Like my iPhone always did.... Although I hated the small screen..

What temperature are you seeing? Use battery monitor widget or similar to log temperatures

This is happening with mine as well, which I just got early this week. I first noticed it today after using the phone to read some web pages for about 20 minutes. The top part of the screen was hotter than the back. I find this a bit worrisome.

Don't quote me but I believe that is OK for that area of the phone to get warm as that is where the processor and ram are so it will heat up with use. Now if its getting hot to where you can't even touch it then that I would say is an issue.

I've had my phone for about 6 months and I've noticed it starting to be warmer than normal over the past several weeks. A few days ago I was in a store and had it in my pants pocket after being on a 10 minute call, and the phone was so warm that it was distracting. I took it out of my pocket a few times to make sure the screen wasn't on. If it continues, I am going to contact Verizon. I haven't noticed any performance issues.
